TODAY IS MONUMENTAL! Neko Wilson became the first defendant to benefit from Senate Bill 1437! Instead of receiving a life sentence under the felony murder rule for two murders that he DID NOT COMMIT, he was able to plead guilty to the two counts of robbery that he holds accountability for.
Read the Fresno Bee coverage here.
Thanks to SB 1437, which led to a prosecution motion to dismiss the two murder charges, he will be coming home to reunite with his young daughter – along with his brother, Jacque, & father, Mack, who have stood with Re:store Justice in advocating for the passage of the bill.
We look forward to seeing more good news to follow!
